Access for the Disabled
1) Wheelchair access to the station is via a gate from the old station
approach road. While parking is not generally allowed on this road, cars
displaying a disabled drivers badge will normally be allowed to park for the
duration of the visit. Access along this road must not be obstructed.
Access to the old station approach road is gained by turning right into
the road on the Chinnor village side of the railway bridge & then along
the front of the dental surgery. Please drive slowly, keeping a good lookout
for children who often play in the area.
2) Wheelchair access is normally available on steam and diesel locomotive
hauled trains.
3) We regret that wheelchair access is not available on DMU trains.
4) Toilet facilities for the disabled are available at Chinnor station. No
toilets with disabled access are available on the train.
Passengers with disabilities are encouraged to call the station (01844
353535) before travelling or alternatively to contact the Duty Line Manager on
arrival at Chinnor to ensure that:
a) The train in operation will include the coach which has wheelchair
access.
b) Our staff are informed and can ensure that the gate from old station
approach road is open and are ready to offer assistance if required.
